La cuarta división de infantería de Estados Unidos, una de las cuatro que el país llevó al desembarco de Normandía, sufrió 197 bajas el Día D. Esto equivale a la quinta parte de las que esa misma división sufrió el 27 y 28 de abril durante el ensayo del Día D (la Operación Tigre).
